The beach is with small  pebbles and crystal turquoise waters   and it became known in the mid-1990s.  It is located on the southwest part of the island, at the bottom of a concave pale cliff which create a unique landscape. Porto Katsiki has been classified in the top six of the Mediterranean beaches.
